This work, titled “Love Bites,” is part of the LOVE series, which explores the many dimensions and interpretations of love. The image of parted lips—poised between softness and aggression—sits beneath the bold red word “LOVE,” creating a layered tension between desire and harm. Lips typically symbolize intimacy, communication, and affection, yet the phrase “love bites” introduces the idea that love can also wound.

The vivid red lettering evokes passion, heat, and intensity, while the stark black line drawing of the mouth suggests vulnerability and exposure. Together, these elements highlight the dual nature of love: it can be seductive and tender, but it can also sting, leaving marks both physical and emotional. Within the broader series, the piece reflects on how love often carries pleasure and pain simultaneously, revealing its complex and sometimes dangerous edges
